Connecting Microbiome Science and ClinicalPractice
at Every Stage of a Patient’s Life

Microbiome science is advancing at a remarkable pace, offering new perspectives that are reshaping our understanding of disease, human development, and patient care. The challenge is no longer access to research, but knowing how to translate it into practice.

Why it was created

The Microbiome Throughout Life (MBTL) International Community was built to close that gap. Born from the success of the Microbiome Throughout Life International Conference in Belgrade, the Community brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, and scientists in a shared, year-round space for education, exchange, and clinical translation.
As the field continues to evolve, those who need it most are often the busiest. The Community was created to give clinicians and researchers a single, credible place to follow the field, without sifting through scattered sources or waiting a year for the next conference.

Our goals

Together, these goals create a continuous ecosystem for learning and collaboration, ensuring that microbiome science does not remain confined to research environments but is actively integrated into clinical thinking and practice. This approach helps turn rapidly evolving evidence into meaningful, real-world impact across healthcare and research communities.

The impact

The Community aims to shorten the distance between discovery and practice, so advances in microbiome
science reach patients faster and inform real clinical decisions across every stage of life.
